For IT’S US, Emke Idema wrote a very detailed moviescript with 5 scenes that were all in different ways very emotional and intimate. During the performance she played this movie in her mind and tried to be open to how the scenes affected her emotions. In every scene she imagined one person of the audience to take a role.
A voice-over opened up the concept, and gave tools to the audience, to be able to come closer to the performer and her thoughts and emotions.
